About John

As I mentioned in my bio, we have 9 children, and our #3 child, John, is the most technically-minded of the brood. He has other interests, which he shares with his wife and children as well as with his siblings; but we share a common interest in mechanical engineering and out-of-the-box thinking.

He has worked in a couple of hi-precision machine shops while going to school, and is a certifiable expert on everything from old-school hand-operated machines to hi-end CNC including wire-EDM. The places he worked for has parts in just about every hi-tech industry on the planet, in places from NASCAR to the planet Mars!

He has a Masters in Rocket Science (or something like thatJ), so you can tell who I’ve been collaborating with on my off-the-ground projects.

I have to admit that without his inspiration, I probably wouldn’t have attempted a garage shop. And what I refer to as my “off-the-ground projects” are really HIS projects, and I am just the helper!

We are in constant communication with all of our children and their kids, but in particular, John and I are ALWAYS on the phone or together planning or working on something or other. How cool is that!!!
