Mill – Tooling

I have found that a Rotary Table is an absolutely essential tool for a mill.  I selected a little over-sized one to maximize the size of parts I can work on there.

The variety of Clamps & Part Holders I have accumulated is constantly growing.  There are some common ones, but I have designed and built quite a number of specialty part holders, which I presume will continue with each wave of projects I undertake.

The variety of Cutters & Tool Holders in catalogs, like www.travers.com or any of many, many similar suppliers is staggering.  But I’ve learned that their huge variety is because of the huge variety of needs out there – my needs however, are quite minimal, so I’ve focused on a small selection of that, and although I’m always finding something new and useful, I think my tooling variety is quite manageable.
